One of the major regional car shows in NSW is the Newcastle Euro Motorfest. The 2026 event It took place on Sunday, June 21, at Newcastle Foreshore Park. Historic Vehicles was represented by local car club members, Helen and Ken C.

Hosted by the MG Car Club, Hunter Region, the premier annual display showcased a wide variety of European vehicles. The event drew significant crowds from across the region and a smaller, related JDM Show N Shine meet coincided with it.

Our HV contributors displayed two of their own vehicles: Helen’s rare Volvo 142S and Ken’s Lotus Excel that’s featured in our Car Restorations section.

As usual, the 2026 edition of Euro Motorfest didn’t disappoint, with visitors and exhibitors enjoying cool, sunny weather. Following is a photo selection of our show favourites, with Ken’s unofficial car of the show nod going to a very rare Fiat 2300S coupe.
